the american vicarious will present the world premiere of Shooting Celebrities by John Ransom Phillips, a multidisciplinary artist equally celebrated for his painting and writing. The production stars Julia Watt as Mary Lincoln, wife of President Abraham Lincoln, and Gene Gillette as Mathew Brady, America’s first celebrity photographer. 

the american vicarious in collaboration with The Invisible Dog Art Center present the New York Premiere of STATIC APNEA (2020) a socially distanced performative installation beginning performances on September 12, 2020.

IATI Theater in a co-production with The Box Collective presents Hurricane Sleep, a new female-centered experimental play about trauma and how healing begins with the most intimate self to reverberate through dimensions of time and being, written and co-directed by Andrea Goldman.  Julia Watt and Goldman co-direct a cast of five, including George Bass*, Shashwat Gupta, Neysa Lozano, Rachel Schmeling and Heaven Stephens*.  Ten performances will be staged at IATI Theater from May 2-12, 2019.

The Box Collective in collaboration with Piece of Yourself announces the premiere of Last Life: A Shakespeare Play, which will premiere on June 14 in New York City. A movement-based theatrical performance directed by Sara Fay George, the piece is crafted entirely from the plays, songs, and poems of William Shakespeare. A man and woman, trapped in a circle of salt, face the wounds of their past in this dramatic and visceral exploration of the evolution of love. New York Shakespeare Exchange presents HAMLET by William Shakespeare adapted and directed by Ross Williams.

New York Shakespeare Exchange, the company that popularizes Shakespeare with innovative programs like The Sonnet Project and the ShakesBEER Pub Crawls, presents a boldly inclusive 'Hamlet.' Running from Wednesday March 23 through Saturday April 9, at the Flamboyan Theater, 107 Suffolk Street, Shakespeare Exchange's 'Hamlet10' will be brought to life by uniquely diverse ensemble of just 10 actors who will play all the roles in the play, including, by turns, the role of the tragic Danish prince.  These ten faces of Hamlet (five female and five male) will stress how aspects of Hamlet reside in us all.
