The Wilbury Group Sets 2015-16 Season: DRY LAND, Jez Butterworth's JERUSALEM & More

The Wilbury Theatre Group's Founding Artistic Director Josh Short has announced the Group's 2015-16 season, including a new drama from one of New York's most promising young playwrights, the world premiere of a new play by Wilbury playwright-in-residence Ben Jolivet, two of the most acclaimed off-Broadway musicals of the last few years, an irreverent new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, and the New England premiere of Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem.

Dallas Theater Center Presents Rolling World Premiere of COLOSSAL, Now thru 5/3

?Dallas Theater Center announced today complete details for the rolling world premiere of Colossal, a new play by Andrew Hinderaker. DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty directs the Kennedy Center Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award-winning play, which is choreographed by founder and artistic director of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Joshua L. Peugh. Colossal begins with previews tonight, April 2 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through Sunday, May 3.

Bailiwick Chicago Stages MURDER BALLAD, Beginning Tonight

Bailiwick Chicago will conclude its 2014-15 season with the Chicago premiere of the intense off-Broadway rock musical MURDER BALLAD, conceived by and with book and lyrics by Julia Jordan, music and lyrics by Juliana Nash, directed and choreographed by James Beaudry with musical direction by Nicholas Davio. MURDER BALLAD will play tonight, April 2 - May 9, 2015 at the Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

New Musicals CAKE OFF and GIRLSTAR Will Premiere at Signature Theatre; Full 2015-16 Season Announced!

Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2015/16 season. “Signature's 26th season continues our commitment to presenting new works and reinventing great American musicals. The Ovation Award-winning IAMA THEATRE COMPANY is thrilled to present the World Premiere of A DOG'S HOUSE, written by Micah Schraft and directed by Trip Cullman. A DOG'S HOUSE will preview tonight, March 27 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, March 28 and run through Sunday, April 26 at the Elephant Theatre, 6322 Santa Monica Blvd. (one block west of Vine) in Hollywood.

Nick Payne's INCOGNITO & Nick Jones' IMPORTANT HATS Added to MTC's 2015-16 Season

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) just announced two productions for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2015-2016 theatrical season. MTC's Off-Broadway season at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street) will feature the American premiere of Incognito by Nick Payne, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes and Important Hats of the Twentieth Century, the world premiere comedy by Nick Jones, directed by Moritz Von Stuelpnagel.

FOR THE LAST TIME is a new jazz musical by celebrated writer/composer Nancy Harrow (Maya The Bee, This Side of Paradise), directed by Will Pomerantz (The Blue Flower) with music direction by Cody Owen Stine, will get an invite-only industry reading on March 13, 2015.

MCC Theater Rounds Out 2015-16 Season with Halley Feiffer's 'A FUNNY THING...'

MCC THEATER has announced the final production of its four-show 2015-16 Main Stage Season, which runs August 2015 through June 2016. Playwright Halley Feiffer (I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard) will make her MCC Theater debut with her play A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. Trip Cullman returns to direct after helming this season's critically acclaimed hit Punk Rock. Full details below. This also marks the reunion of Feiffer and Cullman following their hit production of I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard at the Atlantic Theater Company in early 2015.

Dallas Theater Center announced today Megan Hilty and Seth Rudetsky will headline Centerstage 2015 on Saturday, May 9. Chaired by Yvette Ostolaza, with Underwriting Chair Kersten Rettig and Honorary Chair Jeanne Marie Clossey, Centerstage 2015 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening.

Alley Theatre to Present ALL THE WAY as Part of First Season at New Venue

As part of the Alley Theatre's inaugural season in its renovated downtown building, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's All The Way, a co-production with Dallas Theatre Center, will be performed in the new Hubbard Theatre. Members of the Alley's Resident Company will join with members of the Dallas Theater Center to create this monumental play about Lyndon B. Johnson's early days in office, rehearsing and performing in Houston in January 2016 and travelling to Dallas for a second run in March 2016.
