MTC Adds Works by Qui Nguyen & Tony Winner Sarah Jones to 2016-17 Season

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced two productions as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2016-2017 season: the New York premiere of Vietgone, the new play by Qui Nguyen (She Kills Monsters), directed by May Adrales (Luce); and the world premiere of Sell/Buy/Date, the new play written and performed by Tony Award winner Sarah Jones (Bridge and Tunnel), directed by Carolyn Cantor (Fly By Night).

New York Stage and Film just presented its annual Winter Gala, honoring star of stage and screen Bill Pullman, whose decades-long career includes starring roles in the blockbuster film Independence Day, While You Were Sleeping and Broadway's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia; as well as 2-time Tony Award-winner and 11-time nominee Donald Holder, lighting designer of Broadway's The Lion King, The King & I, and the upcoming Fiddler on the Roof revival, among countless others.

Romantic Comedy HOW ALFO LEARNED TO LOVE Heads to 59E59 Theaters This Holiday Season

59E59 Theaters welcomes Al Dente Productions in association with Little Barn Productions with HOW ALFO LEARNED TO LOVE, written by Vincent Amelio and directed by Daisy Walker. HOW ALFO LEARNED TO LOVE begins performances on Wednesday, December 16 for a limited engagement through Sunday, January 3.  Press opening is Sunday, December 20 at 3:15 PM.

DTC's A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to the Wyly Theatre

Dallas Theater Center's hit production of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol returns to the Wyly Theatre. DTC's Brierley Resident Acting Company member Christie Vela will be the first female director of DTC's adaption of the tale that follows a miserly old man on a magical journey of hope and redemption.

The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc is pleased to announce the publication of the November/December issue of The Dramatist. The show, written by the lauded pair of Adam Gwon and Julia Jordan, will run October 7 through 25. Based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story of the same name, the show tells the story of 18 year old Bernice Harvey's journey from socially awkward to the belle of the country club- and back again. BWW Review: Small Musical Scores Big at Signature with CAKE OFF

Much of what transpires onstage on Jason Sherwood's realistic set is quite hilarious, but at the core of this world premiere musical we also have a sweet and charming story that's not so much about man vs. woman in the standard and expected way. It's more than that. And that's a good thing.
