Veteran stage and film actress Dame Judi Dench recently released her autobiography entitled 'And furthermore' in the UK. 'And Furthermore' was published by Weiderfeld & Nicolson and focuses on Dench's professional career as well as her 30-year marriage to actor Michael Williams who passed away in 2001 after succumbing to lung cancer. The book is set for release in the US in February 2011.

Richard Eyre will direct John Mortimer's translation of Georges Feydeau's 1907 classic farce A FLEA IN HER EAR , opening for previews on 4 December 2010 (press night: 14 December). Starring Tom Hollander with Di Botcher, Jonathan Cake, Oliver Cotton, Lisa Dillon, Freddie Fox, Fiona Glascott, Lloyd Hutchinson, John Marquez, Tim McMullan, William Maxwell, Rebecca Night, Maggie Service and Walter Van Dyk, A Flea in Her Ear is a comedy of errors set against a backdrop of misunderstanding and confusion. Sir Peter Hall was awarded the Moscow Art Theatre's Golden Seagull for his contribution to world theatre at the Evening Standard theatre awards in London. This marks the second award in a week for the Rose Theatre following their award for Best Commitment to the Community at the Kingston Business Awards 2010.

The Rose Theatre is delighted to announce its first home-grown production of 2011: William Shakespeare's As You Like It, directed by Stephen Unwin, in association with Kingston University. The production will run from 18 February - 26 March 2011.
