Liev Schreiber No Longer Voice of HBO Sports, Moves on to Showtime Network

As first reported on Deadline.com, stage and screen actor Liev Schreiber is set to star in a pilot for the Showtime network entitled RAY DONOVAN. However, Deadline also reports that HBO has not renewed Schreiber's long time contract to continue to be the voice of the sports division of the HBO network.

Michael Grandage to Head Own Theater Company

As previously reported, Michael Grandage will be stepping down from his post as Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse at the end of the year. Today, the New York Times' ArtsBeat reports that Grandage will form his own theater company. In an interview with the London's Evening Standard, Grandage spoke of his longevity in the industry and said, “It seems entirely appropriate to think about what I can take from those years, form a company that's buildingless and go out and make work.'

Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway broke The Broadhurst Theatre box office record last week with a gross of $1,210,974. Previous members of the Broadhurst's million dollar club are: 700 Sundays starring Billy Crystal (week ending 5/22/05): $1.061 million; Hamlet starring Jude Law week (week ending 12/6/09): $1.000 million; The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino (week ending 1/2/11): $1.175 million.
