BBC America Orders Full Season of THE NERDIST with Chris Hardwick

BBC AMERICA's General Manager Perry Simon today ordered a full season of The Nerdist, a comedy-variety talk show based on comedian, writer, Doctor Who evangelist and web pundit Chris Hardwick's hit Nerdist Podcast. The season will premiere in Spring 2013 as part of the channel's signature Supernatural Saturday programming block, also home to Doctor Who, Being Human and new original series Orphan Black. Along with The Nerdist series, Chris Hardwick will be fronting the entire Supernatural Saturday programming block in the spring.

NBC ranked #1 Tuesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, as 'The Voice' set records for a finale and grew 11 percent in 18-49 rating and 18 percent in total viewers versus the prior finale.
HBO Orders Comedy Pilot from GIRLS Writer

HBO has officially picked up a comedy pilot from GIRLS scribe Bruce Eric Kaplan, the network announced today. The pilot, PEOPLE IN NEW JERSEY, follows two siblings living just south of New York, who desperately attempt to get through life on a day-by-day basis. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Lorne Michaels will produce alongside acclaimed director Jason Reitman and Kaplan.
