PEAK Performances presents two concerts by the United States' only professional piano sextet, Grand Band, who arrange and play six pianos in a circle. The unconventional ensemble-Erika Dohi, David Friend, Paul Kerekes, Blair McMillen, Lisa Moore, and Isabelle O'Connell-engulfs the audience in the sonic intensity of four landmark contemporary works, including the iconic and massive Gay Guerilla by late minimalist composer Julius Eastman. The Quietus describes the piece as 'one of the most moving pieces ever to be written for eight hands...beginning in lonely stuttering notes, slowly unraveling into defiant crescendos, before the final part repurposes Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress Is Our God into a queer manifesto.'

MSHR's work is also currently featured in the Past Skin exhibition at MoMA PS1 (open through September 10, 2017) and The World is Sound at the Rubin Museum (open through January 18, 2018), and will appear in the Sonic Arcade exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design (September 14, 2017 - February 25, 2018).

In partnership with the Audemars Piguet Art Commission, Times Square Arts presents artist Sun Xun's Time Spy on Times Square's electronic billboards from 11:57 p.m. to midnight every night in July. This project is a part of Midnight Moment, a monthly presentation by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts. One of China's most prominent young artists, Sun Xun created Time Spy for the second Audemars Piguet Art Commission in partnership with Sean Kelly Gallery, Edouard Malingue Gallery and Shanghart Gallery as part of a large-scale immersive multimedia installation first presented during Art Basel in Miami Beach in December 2016.
