Players, one of Houston's oldest and largest resident theater companies, is excited to present 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' as its final children's theater show for the year at the Jeannette and L.M. George Theater (George Theater). The popular story written by C.S. Lewis and dramatized by Joseph Robinette will run for matinee performances only through July 1.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to announce its 20th season. As MET celebrates their 20th anniversary of producing MainStage programming, they open the season by presenting a magnifying glass on society with a promise to make theatre even more accessible. "I'm so pleased to have joined an organization whose artistic leadership team is dedicated to collaboration and the promise of making theatre accessible for ALL" says Christine Mosere, MET's Managing Director. "In fact, in honor of our 20th anniversary, MET has lowered our ticket pricing to $20 for every MainStage production."

The three-hour live television production of A CHRISTMAS STORY will air this December on FOX.

It's like Christmas came early! Fox Broadcasting Company and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television have partnered with award-winning film, television and theater producer Marc Platt (GREASE: LIVE, 'La La Land') on the LIVE musical event A CHRISTMAS STORY, inspired by the holiday classic feature 'A Christmas Story' and the Tony Award-nominated Broadway production 'A Christmas Story: The Musical.' The three-hour live television production of A CHRISTMAS STORY will air this December on FOX.

San Francisco Playhouse Adds A CHRISTMAS STORY to 2017/18 Season

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English; Producing Director Susi Damilano) announced the final selection for its 2017-18 Mainstage season-A Christmas Story: The Musical. With a book by Joseph Robinette and music and lyrics by Oscar-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, A Christmas Story is based on the classic 1983 film of the same name. The play will be presented in the previously-unannounced holiday slot, running November 22, 2017 to January 13, 2018 (Press Opening is November 29, 2017).

A.D. Players, one of Houston's oldest and largest professional theater companies, is proud to present Charlotte's Web as its first children's theater performance at the new Jeannette and L.M. George Theater (George Theater). Charlotte's Web runs March 15 through April 1 with matinee performances only, catering to Houston-area families and school groups. The play is the second of six notable plays coming to the George Theater in 2017. A. D. Players recently completed a 4-week run of To Kill a Mockingbird to rave reviews, both of the show and of the new 440-seat, state-of-the-art performance venue.
