Word for Word Kicks Off Special Events for HOLIDAY HIGH JINX Today

Word for Word closes the 2015 Season with Word for Word's HOLIDAY HIGH JINX -- Bums, Broads and Broadway: Stories by Damon Runyon, Joseph Mitchell, and E.B. White, opening tonight Saturday Nov. 28, 8pm (Press opening) and run through December 24, 2015 at Z Below in San Francisco's Mission/SOMA district.

Alvin Eng's New Play Gets Reading at NYU Fales Library This December

New York University's Fales Library and Special Collections presents a reading of 33 & 1/3 CORNELIA STREET, a new play by the critically acclaimed playwright Alvin Eng featuring Martha Wilson as iconic downtown painter Alice Neel and Bob Holman as urban legend/proto-Beat Poet, Joe Gould. The reading takes place on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 7pm in Bobst Library, Third Floor, 70 Washington Square South, (at LaGuardia Place). [Subways A,C,E, B,D,M to West 4th Street; 6 line to Astor Place; R train to 8th Street.].

ASSASSINATION THEATER Extends Through January 2016

Due to popular demand, the hit production ASSASSINATION THEATER: Chicago's Role in the Crime of The Century, which has been intriguing Chicago audiences all summer long, is pleased to add 12 additional weeks of performances, extending through January 31, 2016 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, 360 N. State St. in Chicago.

On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Meryl Streep, Tom Oppenheim, Kate Mulgrew Tribute Laurette Taylor Award Winner Elizabeth Parrish Tonight

Theatre East and Yale Alumni Association of New York will present Elizabeth Parrish with the Laurette Taylor Award tonight, May 28th at Ramscale Studio South, 463 West Street, in the West Village Highline district, NYC. The benefit starts at 7pm with an exclusive cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 8pm. The award will be presented to Ms. Parrish by Kate Mulgrew (Orange is the New Black). The ceremony will include tributes by alumna Meryl Streep and the Stella Adler Studio's Artistic Director, Tom Oppenheim.
