The theater's board and directors knew that giving up their own space to become a nomadic theater was a risk that would come with many challenges, but the cost of occupying the Belltown space was rapidly increasing to more than the income from a 50-seat theater could sustain. Theater Schmeater's Board President Rachel Sorrels notes that Because we value our artists and the art we put on the stage above everything else, we are willing to take that risk and face those challenges.
