The Rose continues to present a variety of entertainment in June with The Vagina Monologues providing the ultimate girls night out, Stephen Triffitt stepping into the shoes of Frank Sinatra direct from Las Vegas and the very first adaptation of Richard Milward's stunning cult debut novel, Apples. Caramoor International Music Festival maintains its deep commitment to presenting great opera with a spectacular lineup for the festival's 14th annual Bel Canto at Caramoor series led by Director of Opera Will Crutchfield.

In June the Rose Theatre (24-26 High Street, Kingston) will present a variety of entertainment for all ages, from talks on the arts and political scandals to an orchestral and poetic collaboration full of nonsense.

Iwan Rheon, who yesterday won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Role in a Musical for his performance in Spring Awakening, will play Huw Prosser, the prototypical Angry Young Man, in the new production of John Osborne's lost early play The Devil Inside Him. Also joining the cast are Jamie Ballard, John Cording, Stephen Elliott, Hellen Griffin, Derek Hutchinson, Rachel Lumberg and Catrin Stewart.

Warnings is the extraordinary, site specific promenade experience of two of M.R James' most spine-chilling ghost stories. Directed by Nick Blackburn, Warnings will feature readings of A Warning to the Curious and Count Magnus in the atmospheric space of the crypt at St Pancras Church. The readings will be performed from February 16 to March 13.

New York City Opera General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel today announced the company's 2010-2011 season, which spotlights American composers and 20th-century works within a mix of world premieres, New York premieres and new productions. Offering audiences the opportunity to experience new and rarely performed operas as well as modern interpretations of traditional repertoire, the 2010-2011 season will also feature the launch of a concert series showcasing the non-operatic works of several of the composers of this season's operas. Mozart's comic masterpiece, Le Nozze di Figaro, returns to the Met repertory on September 22 with some of opera's most notable young talent, many of them in company debuts or new roles. Danielle de Niese sings Susanna at the Met for the first time, paired with the Figaro of John Relyea, who received the Beverly Sills Artist Award for young singers earlier this year.
