Irish Rep New Works Reading Series Presents THE ALMOND & THE SEAHORSE

The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) continues its fifth season of the New Works Reading Series, supporting new plays and emerging playwrights, with a free reading of Kaite O'Reilly's THE ALMOND AND THE SEAHORSE on Friday, January 28 at 3 p.m. at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in Manhattan.

Jonathan Hogan to Guest Star on MODERN FAMILY

According to TVLine.com, Broadway veteran and Tony Award Nominee Jonathan Hogan is set to guest star on ABC's hit comedy MODERN FAMILY this February. Hogan will star as Ed O'Neill's brother, Tommy.

MY SCANDALOUS LIFE set for Irish Rep, Previews 2/2

Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) continues its 23rd Season with the world premiere of MY SCANDALOUS LIFE by Irish playwright and novelist Thomas Kilroy (author of the award-winning novel 'The Big Chapel'), set to begin previews in the company's downstairs W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre on February 2, prior to its official press opening February 6 (running through March 6).

Berkshire's A DELICATE BALANCE Opens, 8/17

The Berkshire Theatre Festival has announced casting for its production of Edward Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE. The production will begin previews on August 17 and will open officially on August 21; it will then run until September 4.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company Runs Two Holiday Shows This Holiday Season

The Purple Rose Theatre Company will be running two shows for two weeks this holiday season. From Tuesday, December 22, 2009 through Sunday, January 3, 2010, the World Premiere of Escanaba by Jeff Daniels will run in tandem with Jeff Daniels Onstage & Unplugged for a total of sixteen performances over thirteen days

Hogan & Holgate Return to HEROES at Merrimack Repertory Theatre, 11/19 - 12/13

After a successful run this past winter with the Keen Company at the Clurman Theater / Theater Row, Jonathan Hogan and Ron Holgate will reprise their roles in Heroes, by Gerald Sibleyras with a translation by Tom Stoppard and directed by Carl Forsman with the Merrimack Repertory Theatre Company. They will be joined by Ken Tigar, who will be playing the role previously performed by Broadway vet John Cullum in the Theater Row premiere. The production at the Merrick Theatre will run from November 19 through December 13.

South Arc's SOPHISTRY Gives Final Performance 5/29 At Samuel Beckett Theatre

The South Ark Stage (Rhoda Herrick, Producing Artistic Director) Off-Broadway revival of the comedy Sophistry by Jonathan Marc Sherman (Things We Want) will give its final performance on Friday evening, May 29th at 8:00 p.m. at the Samuel Beckett Theatre / Theater Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues).

Under the direction of James Warwick, the eight-member cast features Michael Carbonaro as Jack, and Jonathan Hogan as Whitey, with Ian Alda, Ellen Dolan, Charlie Hewson, Mahira Kakkar, Natalie Knepp and Maximilian Osinski. Performances began Wednesday, April 22 , 2009 for a limited run through Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Samuel Beckett Theatre / Theater Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th & 10th Avenues). Opening night is Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
