The West Coast Premiere of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is now playing a strictly limited 12-week engagement through November 25, 2012 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The official opening night gala is this week, Wednesday September 12 at 7pm. Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner stars as Elder Cunningham and Broadway star Gavin Creel stars as Elder Price. The First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON launches in Denver tomorrow, August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. In the video below, Colorado natives Matt Stone and Trey Parker Chat with In Focus' Eden Lane about creating their first Broadway musical, and launching the tour. Gavin Creel talks about his first visit to Denver, a new appreceation of touring, and reveals his thoughts about taking on a role orginated by a close friend.

Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner will star as Elder Cunningham in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, launching in Denver from August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Gertner will join previously announced Gavin Creel as Elder Price. Samantha Marie Ware joins as Nabulungi, as well as Grey Henson as Elder McKinley and Kevin Mambo as Mafala Hatimbi.

Next to Normal had its Canadian premiere last summer when the 1st National Tour came through Toronto with Tony Award Winner Alice Ripley reprising the role of Diana. Now, the show is getting its own all Canadian production in Winnipeg as the Manitoba Theatre Centre takes on the story. BWW is thrilled to be able to bring its readers this first look at the Canadian cast.

Arthur Darvill, who is best known for his role as the Doctor's current companion Rory in BBC's Doctor Who, will play Mephistopheles in Shakespeare's Globe's first production of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. Paul Hilton, who was recently seen in the BBC drama Silk, will play the title role of the scholar who makes a pact with the devil in exchange for knowledge. The production will run from 18 June to 2 October and is directed by Matthew Dunster and designed by Paul Wills. They will both collaborate with Puppetry Director Steve Tiplady, former Artistic Director of Little Angel Theatre Company, to transform the Globe in to an arena of wild spectacle with larger than life puppets and illusion. Huge flying dragons and horned stilt walkers will help to bring this dark fantastical world to life.

Fresh from her glittering performance as Amanda Prynne in Private Lives at Manchester Royal Exchange, Imogen Stubbs is to star opposite Doreen Mantle and Jonathan Cullen in Henrik Ibsen's 1894 masterpiece Little Eyolf at Jermyn Street Theatre this May.

The West End revival of Equus, currently running at the Gielgud Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, will close June 9, 2007.
