Photo Flash: SPIDER-MAN's 'Rise Above' Single Available Tomorrow!

Music from SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will be released on June 14th by Interscope Records. With 14 new songs co-written by Bono and The Edge for the Broadway production, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the album is produced by Steve Lillywhite. Songs are performed by the cast including Reeve Carney in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jennifer Damiano in the role of Mary Jane, T.V. Carpio as Arachne and Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, with contributions from Bono and The Edge and music performed by the production's twenty member strong orchestra. The release date coincides with the opening night (June 14th) of the Broadway show.

This morning, Spider-Man Reeve Carney introduced the first song from the upcoming Broadway show on Good Morning America, September 10. Carney performed the song, composed by Bono and The Edge at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Hotel, with the performance broadcast live during the 8am-9am hour. Lead producer Michael Cohl announced today that SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will begin preview performances on Broadway on Sunday, November 14, 2010, at 3 p.m., with Opening Night set for Tuesday evening, December 21. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will open at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

L.A.-based rock band Carney set out on tour this summer in support of their eagerly awaited debut album Mr. Green Vol. 1 out May 11th on DAS Label/Interscope. Carney also headlined a special album release show on May 15th at LA's El Rey Theatre before embarking on a cross-country tour supporting UK songsmiths, Athlete, kicking off May 31st at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ.
