After many fits and starts, Who Wants Cake? is delighted to announce the four shows that will comprise their premiere 2011 season.

David Rabe's jet-black comedy about drugs, sex, despair and death in substance-fueled 1980s Hollywood gets the Who Wants Cake? treatment this April starring some of Detroit's hottest talent. The production will end its run at Ferndale's Ringwald Theatre on Monday, April 26th.

I have never stepped foot into The Ringwald Theatre and on top of that I have admittedly never heard about the play/movie Hurlyburly. However, when I received an invitation to see the show I whole heartedly obliged. Considering that I have never seen the movie or any other production of this play, I really wasn't sure what to expect. Typically, I have some sort of background of the at least the synopsis, but with this show/theatre I really had nothing to go off of, so it was a completely new experience for me.

Go Comedy! Improv Theater welcomes Son of The Maltese Falcon, Professor Richard Myron's You-Tube Bonanza, and the Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular to its weekly schedule in March. Two regional companies that have announced productions include Washington DC's Arena Stage and Who Wants Cake in Michigan.

Who Wants Cake? is pleased to announce its line-up of productions for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. The third full season kicks off with two hit musicals (back-to-back), continues on with a holiday staple, includes a world premiere and, of course, men in women's clothing.

Following the buzz of last year's Bug, Who Wants Cake? offers another powerhouse Tracy Letts play: the pitch black, trailer-trash comedy, Killer Joe. Opening Friday, April 3 rd and playing for an exclusive four-week engagement ending on Monday, April 27 th , Killer Joe will play Fridays-Mondays at Ferndale's popular Ringwald Theatre.

What happens when an evil little girl starts offing anyone who gets in her way? Find out when Who Wants Cake? presents their campy and newfangled version of the Maxwell Anderson classic thriller, The Bad Seed. The Bad Seed will play for an exclusive four-week run at Ferndale's The Ringwald Theatre from Friday, February 20 th through Monday, March 16 th.
