XL Nightclub will ring in 2014 with The Phantom Ball with the help of two talented singers, Chad Ryan and Brianna Galligan, who will take on the roles of the Phantom and Christine respectively. The biggest night of the year will feature a spectacular stage production and live performances by Ryan and Galligan of the best vignettes from Phantom of the Opera in its 25th Anniversary year with remixes choreographed especially for the evening.

Signaling the start of the social season, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will hold its annual Gala Concert tonight, September 7 at 8:30 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. This year's Gala will be led by BSO Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly. The concert features the band Pink Martini with vocalist Storm Large, who will collaborate with the BSO for an intoxicating mix of cabaret, samba, jazz and Hollywood musicals. National Public Radio's news correspondent Ari Shapiro, a frequent guest vocalist with Pink Martini, will perform.

On April 6, Their Most Imperial and Sovereign Majesties, Emperor XXI Ritz Kraka and Empress XXVI Witti Repartee, presented The Night of a Thousand Gowns -- a dazzling display of regal glamour, an opportunity to celebrate the LGBT community, and in particular, the colorful cross-dressing segment of that community. In its twenty-seven year history the Imperial Court of New York has donated over 1.5 million dollars to worthy LGBT, HIV/AIDS and youth enrichment related causes. The Imperial Court of New York has announced that Mike Ruiz, LGBT advocate and renowned photographer, will receive the Imperial Diamond Award at the 26th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns on March 31, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Ruiz will accept the Award for service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

TWEED Theaterworks and God's Love We Deliver are excited to announce that Caroline Rhea, Robert La Fosse as Isadora Duncan, Frank DeCaro and Gina Vitro's Flopera! will be joining the already stellar line up at FOLLY: The Grand Street Follies 2009, being held at Abrons Arts Center on Friday February 27 and Saturday February 28.

TWEED TheaterWorks, in association with Robbi Kearns, will bring back the vaudeville Follies when such beloved artists as Rufus Wainwright, Lypsinka, Jackie Hoffman, Julie Halston, David Ilku, Brenda Bergman and Lady Bunny participate in 'FOLLY: The Grand Street Folles, 2009,' a fundraiser for God's Love We Deliver and TWEED Theaterworks on February 27 and 28, 2009 at 8pm at the Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand St.) in Manhattan. 'FOLLY: The Grand Street Follies, 2009', inspired by the follies of the 20's -- but billed as a 'Vaudeville for the New Depression' -- will be an 'old school' vaudeville show featuring live acts: comedy, intriguing skits, unusual musical numbers, spectacle extravaganzas and more than a few surprises.
