Walnut Street Theatre's 2016-2017 Independence Studio on 3 season opens with Broadway's thrilling new mystery, THE OTHER PLACE. Written by Sharr White and directed by Dan Olmstead, the production begins with previews onOctober 4th, opens October 6th and continues through October 30th.

Arden Theatre Company continues its 28th season with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson's TWO TRAINS RUNNING, from March 10 - April 10, 2016, on the Arden's F. Otto Haas Stage at 40 N. 2nd Street in Philadelphia.

This evening, in a celebration attended by almost 750 theatre artists, staff, critics, and friends, Theatre Philadelphia distributed 26 awards at the 2015 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre - now in its second successful season since relaunching in fall 2013. The Awards Ceremony was held at the Merriam Theater, followed by an After-Party at Dorrance Hamilton Hall at the University of the Arts. A full list of award recipients is below.
