Princeton Symphony Orchestra Announces Visual Art LISTEN UP! Exhibit, 1/30

On Monday, January 30 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's PSO BRAVO! Listen Up! Exhibition at the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) opens to feature student artwork and writing created in response to Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Major, Op. 26.

South Bend Civic Theatre to Present 1776

In this year of the presidential election and the bicentennial celebration of the Hoosier state, the South Bend Civic Theatre is presenting 1776 in the Wilson Theatre. The original, Broadway production of this musical depiction of the birth of our nation won the Tony Award for Best Musical and now this theatrical, historical journey comes to South Bend for three weekends between April 15th and May 1st. A wonderful cast of volunteer actors illuminate the story of the Second Continental Congress for a unique perspective of this iconic event in our nation's history: with men that are emotional, proud, uncertain, charming, and irritable humans wanting the best for their families.

PSO BRAVO! Listen Up! Student Art Exhibition to Run 3/22-4/17

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra's PSO BRAVO! Listen Up! Exhibition featuring student artwork and writing created in response to Tsao Shu, an orchestral work by Music Alive: New Partnerships Composer-in-Residence Jing Jing Luo, will be on display beginning Tuesday, March 22, at 4 pm at the Arts Council of Princeton's (ACP) Paul Robeson Center. Participating middle school students will be on hand to discuss their works and their interaction with Ms. Luo as visual artist and composer.

McLean Community Players to Stage Tony-Winning Musical 1776

?The McLean Community Players' production of the musical 1776, based on the events surrounding the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence, opens Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, and runs weekends through Feb. 21 at McLean's Alden Theatre.  With music by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, 1776 became an improbable hit and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 1969.  Director Annie O'Neill Galvin leads an award-winning cast and crew for this production.

For the second production in their 44th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the revolutionary musical '1776', by Peter Stone, with music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards. Performances of this fascinating, family-friendly show will run from tonight, June 17, through July 4 with evening performances at 7:30. Cortland Rep's 1776 Begins Tomorrow

Performances of this fascinating, family-friendly show will run from June 17 - July 4 with evening performances at 7:30.  Matinees are available on June 19, 21, 24, 26, 28 and July 1 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchase by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in downtown Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. Tickets are going fast, so CRT suggests calling early.
