Patti LuPone to Headline New Jersey Symphony's Pops Program, 6/1-2

Two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone headlines the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra's 2012-13 NJSO POPS season finale in Newark and New Brunswick, June 1-2. The legendary diva, who last appeared with the NJSO in 2009, will perform songs from her latest album, 'Far Away Places,' backed for the first time by full orchestra. The star of Broadway's Gypsy will also sing signature songs from her illustrious career on stage and screen. Rob Fisher conducts.

Atlanta Symphony Announces Return to Piedmont Park

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Piedmont Park Conservancy today announced the Orchestra will return to Piedmont Park as part of the Bank of America presents "Performance on the Promenade" concert series, Friday, May 17, and Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.

DINOSAURS! Set for Houston Symphony's Next Family Concert, 4/20

Led by Associate Conductor Robert Franz, the Houston Symphony invites families to a concert on Saturday, April 20 that will take audience members back to pre-historic times. Featuring pieces such as John Williams' Theme from Jurassic Park and Morton Gould's The Jogger and the Dinosaur, the concert will create a pre-historic world within Jones Hall. During the concert, there will be several special visitors including an archeologist from the Houston Museum of Natural Science who will present and discuss dinosaur artifacts. The Symphony's percussion section will also be in the spotlight throughout the performance.

PCPA Opens FIDDLER ON THE ROOF 4/5

In an unprecedented move, PCPA will present its spring musical Fiddler on the Roof at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande from April 25 to May 12, 2013.

Megan Hilty, Matthew Morrison & More to Be Featured in Boston Pops' Spring 2013 Season

The 2013 Boston Pops season, May 8-June 15, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, will present a season-long tribute to the world of movie music, along with programs featuring a wide variety of American musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, pop, classic standards from the 50s and 60s, and show-stopping songs of Broadway and the American Songbook. For the programs focusing on the season theme, 'Best of Hollywood Film Music,' audiences will hear their favorite music from classic movies and today's popular soundtracks performed live by the Boston Pops, while the accompanying movie clips are projected onto a giant screen suspended above the orchestra. Juilliard Center for Innovation in the Arts Presents BEYOND THE MACHINE 13.1, Now thru 3/30

Juilliard's Center for Innovation in the Arts, under the direction of Edward Bilous, presents Beyond the Machine 13.1 with four free performances featuring multimedia and interdisciplinary works tonight, March 27 (7:30 PM), Thursday, March 28 (8 PM), Friday, March 29 (8 PM), and Saturday, March 30 (8 PM) in Juilliard's Rosemary and Meredith Willson Theater. The three works include a theatrical adaptation of a short film, Versions (2010) directed by Oliver Laric; Preferred Project(ion); a multimedia dance-theater work directed and choreographed by Juilliard dancer Jenna Pollack; and a screening of The Projectionist (2003) directed by Michael Bates.

The Michigan Philharmonic will perform a concert that unites nature & music at 2pm Sunday April 21, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth. Violinist Itzhak Perlman to Conduct and Perform with Atlanta Symphony, 4/25-28

Acclaimed violinist Itzhak Perlman will take center stage as violinist and the podium as guest conductor to lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a program including 'Summer' and 'Winter' from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and Mahler's Symphony No. 1, 'Titan.' The performances will take place April 25 and 27, at 8:00 p.m., and April 28, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Switchback Returns to Theatre at the Center for St. Patrick's Day Celebration Tonight

Due to popular demand, Theatre at the Center will once again treat audiences to an old-fashioned St. Patrick's Day celebration with the award-winning Irish duo, SWITCHBACK. John Williams to Conduct Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in Celebration of Steven Spielberg, 6/4

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) today announced that five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams will conduct the BSO in a special benefit concert on Tuesday, June 4 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, appearing at the personal invitation of BSO Music Director Marin Alsop. Williams, celebrating 40 years of collaborating with legendary director Steven Spielberg, will conduct the BSO in selections from some of his most popular film scores. Furthermore, Williams is donating his services for this important fundraising concert for the BSO musicians' pension fund.
