Peccadillo Theater Company's TEN CHIMNEYS Begins Rehearsals

The award-winning Peccadillo Theater Company will present the New York City premiere of TEN CHIMNEYS, a new comedy by Jeffrey Hatcher, starring Byron Jennings as Alfred Lunt, Carolyn McCormick as Lynn Fontanne, Mariette Hartley as Lunt's mother Hattie and Michael McCarty as Sydney Greenstreet. Rehearsals are set to begin today, August 27th. Performances will begin on September 21st with the Opening on Sunday, September 30th at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street (between Ninth & Tenth Aves.) The cast of TEN CHIMNEYS also features Charlotte Booker, Julia Bray and John Wernke, under the direction of OBIE Award winner Dan Wackerman.

Portland Center Stage Announces Casting for THE IMAGINARY INVALID, Opens 1/14

With gaseous energy and outrageous jokes, the first rehearsals of The Imaginary Invalid at Portland Center Stage are underway, in a new adaptation by Constance Congdon of the classic comedy by Molière. The Imaginary Invalid previews on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, with opening night set for January 14, and performances through February 6. Performance times are Tuesday through Sunday, 7:30 pm, with matinees at 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and some Thursday matinees at noon. Tickets start at $33 for full adult prices, with student and under age 30 discounts available. Rush tickets may be available for some performances at $20 each. Manhattan Theatre Club's hit production of THE ROYAL FAMILY, written by theatre legends George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber is currently playing its final week. The twice extended production, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes will play its final performance on Sunday, December 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).
