Selladoor Worldwide Announced Partnership With Europe's Leading Live Music Producers PIU Entertainment

Selladoor Worldwide and PIU Entertainment announced a joint venture to work closely together on producing live entertainment in the UK and Eastern Europe. The move sees Selladoor, known predominantly as a UK and international touring theatre company, move into co-presenting live entertainment and music and moving away from producing only theatre based entertainment. Whilst PIU will co-produce theatre work with Selladoor and build the international footprint of the theatre work created by both entities into the emerging Eastern Europe markets.

Michigan Opera Theatre Announces 2018-19 Opera Season, Celebrates Literary Masterworks

Michigan Opera Theatre CEO and President Wayne S. Brown and Principal Conductor Stephen Lord today announced the company's 2018-19 opera season.  MOT's 48th opera season will be the second under Lord's artistic leadership and celebrates masterworks of literature turned opera, with "Eugene Onegin" (Pyotr Tchaikovsky), "Candide" (Leonard Bernstein) and "The Grapes of Wrath" (Ricky Ian Gordon/Michael Korie). The season also includes a staple of the opera repertoire, "The Barber of Seville" (Gioachino Rossini) and a fairytale opera, "Hansel and Gretel" (Engelbert Humperdinck). The season begins Sept. 29 with a gala concert featuring opera superstar Renee Fleming.

PIPE DREAM, A Rodgers And Hammerstein Musical, Comes to Lakewood Theatre Company

The Lost Treasures Collection, a series of rarely performed musical gems, is back for a eighth season at Lakewood Theatre Company. This year three musicals featuring the theme "Enchanted Evenings" with music by Richard Rodgers, will be presented in a concert/cabaret style. The second offering of the series, Pipe Dream, will have only three performances: Friday, February 16 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 17 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Lakewood's production is directed by Ron Daum and the musical director is Beth Noelle. Performances are on Lakewood's Side Door stage at Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The series sponsor is Fritz Camp,  and the curatorial sponsors are Jaye W. Taylor, Rob Le Chevallier & Buckley Law P.C.

Casting Confirmed for OF MICE AND MEN at Theatre Royal Glasgow

Casting has been confirmed for Selladoor and The Marlow Theatre's production of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men. Taking to the stage when the show arrives at Theatre Glasgow, Monday 26 Feb - Saturday 3 March for its only Scottish date on the tour will be: Richard Keightley (The Mousetrap, St Martin's Theatre) stars as George alongside Matthew Wynn (Hamlet, The Almeida; Measure for Measure, Young Vic) as Lennie, they will be joined on stage by Andrew Boyer (Candy), Cameron Robertson (Slim), Darren Bancroft (Carlson), Kevin Mathurin (Crooks), Harry Egan (Whit), Kamran Darabi Ford (Curley) ,Rosemary Boyle (Curley's Wife), and Robert Ashe (The Boss).
