Photo Flash: Props to Filipino Theater Actors in THE BOURNE LEGACY!

THE BOURNE LEGACY, the fourth installment of the multi-billion dollar spy movie franchise, which topped the weekend box office in North America just last weekend, has found a bona fide action star in Jeremy Renner; a sweltering, bustling action sequence location in Manila whose climactic chase scenes ­on foot, in car, and on motorcycle add "visceral kick to the chaos," according to Wired Magazine; and a slew of talented Philippine-based theater, film, and television actors ­- John Arcilla, Madelaine Nicolas, Ruby Ruiz, Anne Garcia, Lou Veloso, and Adrian Talinga, among others - that share brief yet considerably memorable scenes with Renner and the film's leading lady, Rachel Weisz.

Spike Lee's RED HOOK SUMMER Set for Theatrical Release, 8/10

40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks announced today that the company will undertake its first independent distribution effort with founder Spike Lee's Brooklyn coming-of-age story, RED HOOK SUMMER. 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks will partner with New York-based Variance Films for the theatrical release, which will begin August 10th, 2012 in New York City theaters, expanding to the top 30 markets throughout the month of August.

Isaiah Washington and James Murray Jackson, Jr. to Lead UNSPEAKABLE in 8-Week Chicago Engagement

This fall, the New York International Fringe Festival hit Unspeakable - described as 'a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic icon Richard Pryor' - will come to Chicago on the Royal George Theatre Main Stage, 1641 N. Halsted, in a limited eight-week engagement beginning Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The official opening night performance is Monday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Queen Latifah to Join Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard, Jill Scott in Craig Zadan and Neil Meron's STEEL MAGNOLIAS Movie

Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Queen Latifah has signed on to star in and executive produce the Lifetime Original Movie Event, Steel Magnolias, a television adaptation of the iconic play and 1989 film of the same name, reuniting her with her producing duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, from the Oscar and Golden Globe winning Chicago and Hairspray. (Zadan and Meron also produce Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva and Smash.) She will take on the role of 'M'Lynn' and star alongside an all-star cast that includes Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad as 'Clairee,' Golden Globe and multiple Emmy winner Alfre Woodard as 'Ouiser,' Grammy winner Jill Scott as 'Truvy,' Adepero Oduye as 'Annelle,' and Condola Rashad as 'Shelby.'
