Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced that Manhattan Theatre Club will present its 2017 Fall Benefit, honoring 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince, on Monday evening, October 23 at 583 Park Avenue (63rd Street and Park Avenue).

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center opens its 2017-2018 season with "The 39 Steps," adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan. BTE Ensemble Member Kurt Naebig* directs this zany Hitchcock-inspired whodunit. Performances runSept. 7-Oct. 8. Gary Morgenstein's provocative new play Saving Stan, a drama about friendship, greed, love and death, will premiere at the first-ever Broadway Bound Festival Today, August 3 at 12:30pm; Friday, August 4 at 4pm and Monday, August 7 at 7pm. Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced it will produce the world premiere of Dan Cody's Yacht, a new play written by Anthony Giardina and directed by Doug Hughes, as part of MTC's upcoming 2017-2018 season. Dan Cody's Yacht will begin previews May 15, 2018 ahead of a June 6, 2018 opening night at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

The graduating class of Summer 2017 at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts has launched into its final week of rehearsals for The Drowsy Chaperone. With every sound check, lighting cue and quick change, the vision of the show is coming closer to fruition and I can't help but feel immensely proud of how far we have come as a term since our journey here began two years ago.
As we bid farewell to our school and brace ourselves to face the 'real world', I find solace in the bonds we have created, the stories we have shared (with each other and with audiences) and the life skills we have learned that will stay with us, regardless of the path we choose to follow. (And yes, we also learned about acting.)
