The Farm Theater Announces 2014 Training Camp

The Farm Theater announces Training Camp 2014, a program that focuses on the development of pre-professional and early career theater artists. Training Camp will be held at Elmira College on August 4 through August 10. The Farm is seeking a diverse ensemble of sixteen theater artists to participate in this weeklong intensive, which will include classes in acting, writing, ensemble collaboration, and directing.

Seattle Repertory Theatre Announces 2014–2015 Season

Seattle Repertory Theatre's full 2014-2015 season was announced today by Artistic Director Jerry Manning. The season is headlined by the first-ever presentation of Seattle writer Robert Schenkkan's striking meditation on power and morality in his two-part Lyndon B. Johnson plays, All the Way and The Great Society, in repertory format.

INTAR today announced that Adoration of the Old Woman by Jose Rivera and directed by Patricia McGregor, starring Raul Castillo (HBO's 'Looking'), Danielle Davenport, Jose Joaquin Perez, Socorro Santiago and Carmen Zilles, will continue through for another week, through April 27th to accommodate overwhelming demand.

Lincoln Center Theater's THE CITY OF CONVERSATION Begins Previews Tonight, 4/10

Previews begin tonight, Thursday, April 10, for the Lincoln Center Theater production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse (150 West 65th Street). Opening night is Monday, May 5. The cast includes John Aylward, Phillip James Brannon, Kristen Bush, Beth Dixon, Barbara Garrick, Jan Maxwell, Luke Niehaus, Kevin O'Rourke and Michael Simpson.

Laguna Playhouse to Present Leslie Caron & David Engel in SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, 4/26-6/8

The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham are thrilled to present screen legend Leslie Caron, in her first Southern California theatrical performance in over 25 years! SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, written by Richard Alfieri, with choreography by Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) and directed by Michael Arabian (Waiting for Godot). SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS will also feature 6-time Ovation Award-winning actor David Engel. "What an honor to have on our stage the incomparable Leslie Caron and the multi-talented David Engel," remarks Wood. "It's a dream cast and a dream come true. With Michael Arabian and Donna McKechnie directing and choreographing, this has to be one of the most anticipated productions in the Playhouse's storied history,' adds Wareham. Writer, actor and activist Timothy Conigrave's best-selling memoir (winner of the United Nations Human Rights Award for Non-Fiction and listed as one of the '100 Favorite Australian Books' by the Australian Society of Authors) is one of Australia's great love stories. The stage version by Tommy Murphy captures all its special magic. Producers Nick Hardcastle and Nate Jones launch their newly formed Australian Theatre Company with the Los Angeles premiere of Holding the Man, featuring an all-Australian cast and directed by veteran Hollywood acting coach Larry Moss. Opening night is May 10 at the Matrix Theatre.

Stoneham Theatre has a lot to celebrate as they announce their 15th season. Selecting the slate of shows, however, proved to be challenging. 'Choosing an anniversary season is tough,' Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared. 'There is a lot of pressure to get it right. But, in the end, I found I just wanted to choose another season of plays and musicals that represents the kind of work that we love to do: a mix of the familiar and the new, the entertaining and the thought-provoking, and one completely unexpected surprise.'
