Once again crowned as the No. 1 Performing Arts Hall of its size in North America (Venues Today, 2000 seat category), the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall is proud to announce a new season bustling with fresh talent and seasoned stars, with every performance delivering a dose of extraordinary. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Begins 2014-2015 Season with New Associate Conductor

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra begins its 2014-15 season on Sept. 13, with a new Associate Conductor, many outstanding guest artists, and collaborations slated with many of the area's leading cultural and educational institutions. A recording project for Naxos will shed light on the works of the little-known French composer Florent Schmitt, and the orchestra will continue its search for a new pops conductor and concertmaster.

York Theatre Company's 45th Anniversary Season to Feature Lillias White in TEXAS IN PARIS, NY Premiere of HAROLD AND MAUDE & More

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, celebrates major milestones with the announcement of its upcoming 2014-2015 season. The 45th Anniversary season will see the Off-Broadway premieres of two Main Stage productions: Texas in Paris starring Tony Award-winner Lillias White, and the highly anticipated Harold and Maude, an intimate musical. The acclaimed Musicals in Mufti series will present its 100th production, expanding to a two-week performance schedule for the musicals Big, A Time for Singing and Saturday Night; My Favorite Year will then play a one-week schedule. Special events include the 23rd Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala honoring Broadway's Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and York's ongoing schedule of developmental readings, labs and more at The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue.)

Flowers of the Field is a dark romance that explores the cultural and political impulses behind the movement to rediscover England's lost folk music, at a time of war and growing industrialisation.

Windy City Playhouse, Chicago's Newest Equity Theater, to Launch in March 2015 with END DAYS

Windy City Playhouse, Chicago's newest Equity theater, will premiere in March of 2015. Partnering with Chicago's own Henry Godinez, Chuck Smith, and William Brown, the Playhouse promises to combine high level artistry with highly accessible material. The mission of the new theater is to reinstate live performance as an entertaining and largely social experience. Its first season, featuring four full-length productions, will focus on contemporary, non-musical pieces that embrace a new era of theater audience.

Glenn Miller Orchestra Plays Cincinnati's Music Hall Ballroom Tonight

WMKV-FM and WLHS-FM revive the glory days of the Music Hall Ballroom with a big band concert and dance with The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra tonight, May 20 from 7:00 - 10:00 PM at the Ballroom. The evening will be emceed by special guest, John Morris Russell, acclaimed conductor of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.
