The Loyola Faculty Brass Quintet will kick off a series of concerts, including a memorial recital dedicated to the late Phil Frohnmayer, by Loyola University New Orleans' leading musical ensembles as part of the Montage Fine and Performing Arts Series. All performances are free and open to the public.
Bruce Graham, author of The Outgoing Tide playing through Oct. 13 at Chenango River Theatre, will be coming in to see the production on Friday, Oct. 4. He will stay after the show to participate in the theatre's traditional second Friday "TalkBack". The TalkBack is an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the director, cast and in this case, the author, about the play.
And it's a play every theatre in the country has coveted getting the rights to perform. One of the very first theatre companies to win that right is the Binghamton area's own Chenango River Theatre. On Sept. 27, the theatre opens the regional premiere of a sensational new drama by Bruce Graham titled The Outgoing Tide. Northlight will open its season with the 2013 Pulitzer Prize finalist 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog, featuring Emjoy Gavino, Caroline Neff, Josh Salt and Mary Ann Thebus. The Midwest Premiere of Detroit '67 will feature Tyla Abercrumbie,Cassandra Bissell, Kamal Angelo Bolden, Coco Elysses and Kelvin Roston, Jr. Jon Jory's new adaptation of Henry Fielding's classic novel Tom Jones will include Chris Amos, Sam Ashdown, Nora Fiffer, Molly Glynn, Melanie Keller, John Lister, Cristina Panfilio, Eric Parks and Marcus Truschinski. John Mahoney and Penny Slusher will appear in the World Premiere of Chapatti.

Evans, announces that the company's acclaimed World Premiere production of Stella & Lou by Bruce Graham and directed by BJ Jones, will be presented at the Town Hall Theater in association with Galway Arts Festival in Galway, Ireland, July 16-21, 2013. Continuing its 25th Anniversary Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Still Alice, adapted and directed by Ensemble Member Christine Mary Dunford, based on the novel by Lisa Genova. Acclaimed jazz percussionist and former Loyola student Brian Blade will perform in two concerts Saturday, March 9 as part of the 44th Annual Jazz Festival at Loyola University New Orleans. Held in the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located in the Communications/Music Complex, the two-day festival is presented by Loyola's Jazz Studies Program. In addition to Saturday's concerts, the festival also includes a free performance by the Loyola Faculty Jazz Septet Friday, March 8 at 4:30 p.m. in Roussel Hall.
