Due to high ticket demand, Second Stage Theater has announced a one-week extension of the world premiere musical SUPERHERO. The production will now play through Sunday, March 31, 2019.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical based on the 2001 Twentieth Century Fox Motion Picture by Baz Luhrmann, has released a new trailer, 'Love.' Moulin Rouge! The Musical will open on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Previews will begin June 28, 2019 prior to a July 25 opening night.

Prime Cut Productions has announced further details for Removed, a brand new play inspired by interviews with young people growing up in care in Northern Ireland, created in collaboration with playwright Fionnuala Kennedy and Voice Of Young People In Care (VOYPIC), and in association with Young at Art. Removed will receive its world premiere at Belfast Children's Festival on Saturday 9 March and run from 07 to 16 March 2019 at the Brian Friel Theatre.

SHOWTIME has announced that Paco Cabezas (PENNY DREADFUL, The Alienist) is set to direct multiple episodes of PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, the next chapter of the PENNY DREADFUL saga. Oscar® nominee John Logan, creator, writer and executive producer of the Emmy nominated series PENNY DREADFUL, will continue in those same roles. Helicopter parents facing the question of what they want to be when their kids grow up is the focus in the new comedy-drama The Empty Nesters by award-winning playwright Garret Jon Groenveld.  This warm and witty look at a couple who drop their youngest child off at college and then take what may be a life-changing trip to the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon, is helmed by Los Angeles based director Richard Seyd, and stars real-life empty nesters John (JW) Walker and Pamela Gaye Walker, who reunite on stage after a 20 year hiatus. 

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, announces that playwright and screenwriter John Logan will receive the 19th Monte Cristo Award. An alumnus of the O'Neill, John developed the musical Superhero, soon to open off-Broadway, at the O'Neill's 2017 National Music Theater Conference and his Moulin Rouge bows on Broadway this summer. A gala evening in celebration of Logan's many achievements will be held at the Edison Ballroom (New York) on Monday, April 22, 2019.
