BoHo Theatre will present the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Terrence McNally, based on the novel by Manuel Puig, as the final production in its 2012/2013 season. The production will run tonight, May 31st through June 30th at Theater Wit in Lakeview.

NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 will add performances to its weekly playing schedule beginning Thursday, May 30th, due to popular demand. If Betty Comden and Adolph Green were both born in Bombay, Singin' In The Rain might have wound up resembling The New Group's new musical, Bunty Berman Presents…. Not that Ayub Khan Din (book, music and lyrics) and Paul Bogaev's (music) Bollywood-set musical comedy is on the same level as that masterwork, but the spirit of silly 1950s MGM hijinks abounds throughout the evening. It's got laughs, it's got tunes and it offers a fun, mindless time.
As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Sting's new stage musical, THE LAST SHIP, which has been buzzed about for an upcoming Broadway run, just had a staged reading, which was directed by Joe Mantello. Now according to the Star, the reading was led by Louise Pitre, who is hoping to bring the show to Broadway, revealing: 'It was incredible to work with this team.' A source also told Pitre that 'by the end of the second reading, they had all the money they needed for their production in 2014. Amazing!'

The first ever teen production of John Logan's 2010 Tony Award winning drama, Red is being produced by the Boston Teen Acting Troupe this May. This will be the first time in the show's history that RED will be acted, directed, produced, designed and run completely by teenagers.
