Third Street Theatre in association with Oddbird Theatricals is thrilled to present the World Premiere, fully-realized production of the Hollywood Fringe Festival Best Musical Award-winning, BRONIES: THE MUSICAL, with music by Joe Greene, book and lyrics by Heidi Powers and Tom Moore, choreography by John Todd, musical direction by Jennifer Lin and direction by Richard Israel. BRONIES: THE MUSICAL began previews Thursday, September 25; will open tonight, September 27 and run through Sunday, November 1 at the THIRD STREET THEATRE, 8115 W. Third Street in West Hollywood.

This time, Staged! presents JRB's dark and ambitious musical Parade, today, September 20 through October 12. William Inge Center for the Arts Welcomes Karen Carpenter as New Interim Artistic Director

Karen Carpenter, a producer, director and teacher, a theater-maker for more than 30 years, has been appointed the interim Artistic Director of the William Inge Center for the Arts and the 34th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival. The Inge Festival is the Official Theater Festival of the State of Kansas, hosted on the campus of Independence Community College, which houses the William Inge archives.

The Steppenwolf Theatre Company's new production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed This is Our Youth, just opened on Broadway last night at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48 Street). In this production, Michael Cera makes his New York stage debut opposite Kieran Culkin and Tavi Gevinson, which premiered at Steppenwolf in Chicago this past summer, and is directed by Anna D. Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will open their 2014-2015 season with the multiple Tony Award nominated musical SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS.
