The Colonial Theatre Presents 'Hot Tuna Blues' Concert 2/9

Hot Tuna Blues is coming to the Colonial for a one-night only concert event on Wednesday, February 9 at 7:30pm. The performance joins Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Hot Tuna (Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady) with Chicago blues icon Charlie Musselwhite and singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale. The acoustic and electric energy of Hot Tuna is injected with the harmonic sounds of Musselwhite and country-bluegrass infusion of Lauderdale resulting in an invigorating evening of blues and classic Americana.

Lincoln Center Theater production of Jon Robin Baitz' OTHER DESERT CITIES, directed by Joe Mantello, opened on January 13 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Today, the New York Times suggests that the show is looking to transfer to Broadway, however, a full house on the Great White Way will prevent the show from making a spring move.

DRIVING MISS DAISY Offers 40% Snow Discount on Shows Today

Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that their premiere Broadway production of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, which is playing to sold out houses at the Golden Theatre (252 W45th Street), has recouped its initial investment of $2.6 million in less than three months, making it the first play of the 2010-11 Broadway season to celebrate recoupment.

Skowron Returns as the Grinch at Old Globe, 11/26-12/26

Jeff Skowron will return as the Grinch in the Globe's 13th annual production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Skowron made his Globe debut as the Grinch in last season's production. The annual holiday musical, directed by James Vasquez with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin, will run in the Old Globe Theatre Nov. 20 - Dec. 26. Previews run from Nov. 20 - Nov. 26. Opening night is Nov. 26 at 7:00 p.m.
