The Ultimate Harmonica Blowout Stretches the Boundaries

Every time they take the stage at the Harris Center they rock the house, and every time they teach us all something new about the blues. Now in its 26th year, the Blues Harmonica Blowout will push out the esthetic to new realms, putting Corky Siegel (Chamber Blues), Howard Levy (founding member of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Duke Robillard (Roomful of Blues, Fabulous Thunderbirds) Son of Dave (Crash Test Dummies) and Jason Ricci on the same stage at the same time, all joining the show's founder Mark Hummel (Winner of two Blues Music Awards in 2014) and the stellar Blues Survivors.

Guy Davis & Fabrizio Poggi to Play Lackland Center, 2/6

The sounds of the blues fills Centenary Stage Company's Lackland Center on Saturday February 6 at 8pm with legendary blues musician Guy Davis and special guest harmonica player Fabrizio Poggi. 'Davis' folksy and humble stage presence, combined with his humorous monologues, made one feel that this was not a concert, but rather, an impromptu performance on a front porch down in some southern swamp. Artists Rep Sets 2016-17 Season

Artists Repertory Theatre announces a stylistically diverse season of seven imaginative and entertaining plays that grapple with family and the pursuit of happiness. The season features one World Premiere commissioned by Artists Rep's new play development program Table|Room|Stage, along with five Northwest Premieres (including a musical) by some of the best emerging contemporary playwrights in the country, and one re-imagined classic featuring an all-female cast. The 2016/17 selections emphasize the aesthetic and scope of work Artists Rep has been committed to producing for almost 35 years as Portland's premiere mid-size regional theatre.

BOOGIE STOMP! to Open at Elektra Theatre Next Month

IYF Productions is proud to bring Boogie Stomp! to Times Square this fall.  Written by John Campana and starring pianists extraordinaire, Bob Baldori and Arthur Migliazza, Boogie Stomp! will begin its limited run on September 25 and will open on Friday, October 16 and run through November 28, 2015 at Times Square's Elektra Theatre (300 W 43rd Street, 2nd Floor). Debra Messing & More to be Honored by Trinity Rep

At the 19th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Rep will award Debra Messing with the Pell Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Arts. John Chan, jazz promoter and owner of Chan's Fine Oriental Dining in Woonsocket will be honored with a Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts. Dancer and choreographer Julie Strandberg will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts and Trinity Rep's former executive director, Michael Gennaro, will be awarded with the Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts. The ceremony will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow at the Providence Public Library.
