Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 11/06 for Richmond

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum presents Maurizio Cattelan: All, the first retrospective of the internationally acclaimed artist's work, from November 4, 2011, to January 22, 2012. Hailed simultaneously as a provocateur, prankster, and tragic poet of our times, Maurizio Cattelan (b. 1960) has created some of the most unforgettable images in recent contemporary art. His source materials range widely, from popular culture, history, and organized religion to a meditation on the self that is at once humorous and profound.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues its inaugural season in its new state-of-the-art Pasadena venue with DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS by EUGENE O'NEILL, directed by Dámaso Rodriguez, which opens Saturday, November 19 and closes Sunday, December 18, 2011 (previews begin November 12).

PS Classics has revealed the complete track list for the the new cast recording for the revival of FOLLIES on November 29. The album will feature 33 tracks with some dialogue lead-ins, scenes, and speeches in a two-disc set, complete with 52-page full-color booklet with essay, synopsis, lyrics and production photos. First Draft at Charter Theater - a nonprofit organization devoted to developing theater audiences alongside new plays; supporting local artists; and partnering with theaters looking to produce new work - announced today that it will present two readings this month of the new comedy, 'The White Trash Grail Play,' by DC-based playwright Allyson Currin.

As BroadwayWorld.com first reported this weekend, FOLLIES star Jan Maxwell was hit by a minivan while crossing 45th Street following the Saturday, October 29 matinee. The star suffered injuries to her arm and leg. She was unable to perform on Saturday night and was also be out at the Sunday matinee to stay home and recuperate. Her understudy, Colleen Fitzpatrick, went on in her absence this weekend. BroadwayWorld has just confirmed with a spokesperson for the show that Maxwell is back and better, and will resume performances tonight, November 1.

Pianist Yoonie Han will make her Kennedy Center debut on November 2, 2011 at 7:30 p.m., performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Avanti Orchestra.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, launches its milestone 2011-12 Season and 20th Anniversary in its permanent new home, a 33,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art venue in Pasadena, with a sizzling original treatment of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S beloved comedy TWELFTH NIGHT, OR WHAT YOU WILL, which runs Saturday, October 29 to Friday, December 16, 2011 (previews begin Saturday, October 22). A 'Pay What You Can' date, which allows patrons to purchase tickets for what they can afford, is Thursday, October 27.

On Tuesday, November 29, Carnegie Hall will present the New York premiere of a new Quintet by Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, a composer whose music is among the most-performed of that of any of her American colleagues, and who was the first person named to the Carnegie Hall Composer's Chair in 1995.
