Celebrity gossip blogger and Broadway fan Perez Hilton has added his voice to the 2014 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 16, the annual holiday music CD which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. The song "My Simple Christmas Wish," with music and lyrics by David Friedman, was suggested for Hilton by well-known voice teacher Liz Caplan, because the song's hook is "I wanna be rich, famous and powerful…" Perez Hilton began recording every year for Broadway's Carols for a Cure in 2012, when he made his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue "NEWSical the Musical."

When the box office for Side Show, at Broadway's St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street), opens on Monday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m., the first 100 ticket-buyers on line will receive a voucher for a free copy of Side Show's recently announced, new original Broadway cast recording.

The all-new Broadway cast recording of Side Show will be released on Broadway Records in early 2015, producers announced today.

Following a season that included a best-selling production of 'The Iceman Cometh', the critically acclaimed three-person storytelling drama 'Faith Healer', and the highly successful US premiere of internationally renowned playwright Conor McPherson's 'The Veil', Quotidian Theatre Company opens its 17th season with a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 'Hedda Gabler', updating the action of the play to the socially relevant climate of 1963 Georgetown. Quotidian's production runs October 24 - November 23 at The Writer's Center in downtown Bethesda.

Additional casting has been announced for the new Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning film and stage musical, Gigi. Joining the previously announced Vanessa Hudgens in the title role will be two-time Tony Award-nominee Howard McGillin (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Anything Goes, The Phantom of the Opera) as Honore Lachaille, Corey Cott (Newsies) as Gaston Lachaille and Steffanie Leigh(Mary Poppins) as Liane d'Exelmans. Drama Desk Award winning playwright J.E. Franklin will present her new book of plays To Break Every Yoke with a staged production starring actress Vinie Burrows on Sunday October 5, from 2pm-4pm at the Castillo Theatre located at 543 W 42nd Street.

Reigning violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman will perform his first New York solo recital since 2007 at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 7:30 PM, presented by IMG Artists. Pianist Rohan De Silva, Perlman's longtime recital partner, joins the violinist for a program to include Vivaldi's Sonata in A Major for Violin and Continuo, Op. 2 RV 31; Schumann's Fantasiestucke, Op. 73; Beethoven's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 7 in C Minor, Op. 18; and Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in G Major, as well as additional works to be announced from the stage.
