Photo Flash: First Look at Cygnet Theatre's Noel Coward Rep - THE VORTEX and HAY FEVER

Cygnet's tradition of shows performed in rotating rep continues with Noel Coward's HAY FEVER (dir. Rob Lutfy) and THE VORTEX (dir. Sean Murray). These two plays turned Coward into an overnight sensation, one light and madcap, the other dark and shocking. Written at the same time, they represent opposite sides of Coward's talent. San Diego favorite Rosina Reynolds takes on the strong female roles in both these productions. Opening night for both productions is Saturday, October 3rd at 3 (HAY FEVER) and 8 pm (THE VORTEX). The Mexican Museum Named Grantee of Bloomberg Philanthropies' Arts Innovation and Management Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) The Mexican Museum, the premier West Coast museum of Mexican, Mexican-American, Chicano, Latin American, and Latino art, culture and heritage, today announced that it is a grantee recipient of Bloomberg Philanthropies' Arts Innovation and Management (AIM) program. Through the two-year initiative, Bloomberg Philanthropies is providing $30 million across 262 small and mid-sized nonprofit cultural organizations around the country to help strengthen their operational and programming efforts, including training in fundraising, audience development and board member engagement.

New Exhibit Honors U.S. Army Combat Photographers

Original photographs and motion pictures by the men of Department of the Army Special Photographic Office (DASPO) are at the center of a new exhibit by the Pritzker Military Museum & Library on the Vietnam War, to be unveiled Thursday at a free public reception. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Museum & Library and will be immediately followed by a live recording of 'Citizen Soldier,' featuring a discussion by DASPO veterans of the vital role played by these elite special operations teams during the war.
