The biggest music festival in NY this year will be in Rockland County!

Jersey Shore legend RICHIE 'LaBAMBA' ROSENBERG, a late night TV fixture for the past 20 years anchoring the horn section in Conan O'Brien's band, will return to his roots to lead a very special version of his big band as host of the anchor event of LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2015 for its 15th anniversary edition in the battle against Parkinson's disease.

With a goal of raising a record half million dollars for its 15th anniversary edition, LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2015, presented by the Asbury Park Press, reaches to New York City in its ongoing battle against Parkinson's disease with LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST NYC 2015, starring Suzanne Vega with Dramarama's John Easdale, John Eddie and His Dirty Ol' Band, Joe D'Urso and Stone Caravan, and more to be announced, today, Jan. 14, 2015 at the Cutting Room, 44 E. 32nd St., NYC.

Billboard Magazine honored Bob Benjamin and the Light of Day Foundation with the Humanitarian Award last night at the 2014 Billboard Touring Conference & Awards, honoring the concert industry's top artists, venues and professionals of the year. The 11th annual event was held at the Edison Ballroom in New York City and also featured an appearance by Lionel Richie to accept the Legend of Live Award, and a rousing performance by Kool & the Gang to close out the evening. With a goal of raising a record half million dollars in its ongoing battle against Parkinson's disease, LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2015, presented by the Asbury Park Press, the 15th anniversary edition of the anchor event for the world-renowned Light of Day Foundation, will bring over 150 music acts to 30 venues over 10 days in three New Jersey cities and New York City in January, following holiday season tours of Europe and Canada.

On June 29th, 2014, New Jersey/New York fixture Joe D'Urso will present the first-ever Rockland-Bergen Music Festival on the borders of Rockland and Bergen counties in Tappan, New York. 'I've been thinking about doing this for some time as I felt the Rockland and Bergen counties were underserved when it came to something like this' says D'Urso. 'Also, with Pete Seeger's recent passing, it was the catalyst to get me to finally commit to organizing this particular festival which also coincides with my 50th birthday in late June. I think you could say that mortality was a motivation! I had the opportunity to work with Pete a few times over the years and his inspiration, along with Harry Chapin's and Bruce Springsteen's, run deep in me.'
