Zoe Wanamaker & John Dagleish Set for Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's HARLEQUINADE

Further casting for the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's Plays at the Garrick season has been announced. John Dagleish and Zoe Wanamaker are to appear in Harlequinade, with John also joining the company of The Winter's Tale. The two productions will play in repertory at the Garrick theatre from 17 October 2015 until 16 January 2016.

John Dagleish, Olivier winner for SUNNY AFTERNOON, is headed back to the West End. The Daily Mail reports that he will take on the role of conman 'Autolycus' in Kenneth Branagh's THE WINTER'S TALE. Branagh and Rob Ashford will co-direct the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's first show of the year, which is slated to run October 17, 2015, through January 16, 2016.

The cast of the multi-award winning British musical SUNNY AFTERNOON will perform live tonight 11 June, at the London Music Awards at the Roundhouse in Camden. The Awards are organized by the Mayor's Music Fund and other performers will include Laura Doggett, Ibibio Sound Machine and Belle Chen.

Due to extraordinary public demand, the new hit British musical SUNNY AFTERNOON has announced a further extension to its West End run. It is now booking until 24 October 2015, at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
The critically acclaimed new musical, which tells the story of the early life of Ray Davies and the rise to stardom of The Kinks, recently celebrated its 100th performance.

Ray Davies of The Kinks will be signing CD copies of the official cast recording album of Sunny Afternoon, Lola vs the Powerman new deluxe edition and the new Kinks five-CD box set 'The Anthology 1964-1971', at the Harold Pinter Theatre, London, from 4.00pm - 5.15pm on 11 December 2014.

Having missed the opportunity to see Sunny Afternoon during its run at the Hampstead Theatre, I was thrilled (and not at all surprised) when it was announced earlier this year that it would be transferring to the West End. The biographical show detailing the history of Ray Davies and The Kinks, is different in that alongside all of the hit songs we all know and love, it takes us through all of the personal and professional tribulations the band went through during their rise to fame in the 1960s.
