A celebration of one of the greatest British writers, Jane Austen, Rob Winlow's new musical Austen reveals the woman behind the words, and it tours the UK this Spring. Following the bicentennial of her death, this is a portrait of an icon as a human being. Austen investigates the life of an author struggling as much with affairs of the heart as with ambitions for her art.

New & emerging comedians from across the UK have been announced to take part in a series of prestigious comedy competitions and events at Leicester Comedy Festival 2018. Sundance Institute showcases bold, independent storytelling at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, beginning with today's announcement of feature films selected across all categories. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 18 28.

Leicester Comedy Festival (7th 25th February) today launches its 2018 festival line-up with a bumper 164 page brochure, featuring 836 events across 69 venues, performed by 613 comedians and performers; an increase of 8.5% on last year.

This fall, WLDRNSS will present the world premiere of When I Nod My Head You Hit It With The Hammer, a highly visual, playful and personal devised play about outdated internal maps, memory, hope and change. WLDRNSS is welcoming England-based theater artist (and long time friend of director Jon Ferguson) John Cooper to co-create and perform in the piece. The play will premiere at The Southern Theater on September 15, 2017, running through September 23, 2017.
