Philadelphia's Old Academy Players production of Almost, Maine, written by John Cariani, opens November 6 at 8pm.

Recently, TheatreWorks announced its line-up of theatrical performances for its 43rd season at a party hosted by Homeward Bound Interior Fashions, located at 20 Bank Street in New Milford.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that its 2009 Gimme A Break! benefit will honor playwright Terrence McNally and director Joe Mantello on Monday, December 7 at 6:30pm, at Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue at 70th Street.

Full casting has been announced for Lincoln Center's BROADWAY MEETS JAZZ to benefit Chris Henry & Royal Family Productions. The cast will include Becca Ayers, John Cariani, Sheila Carpenter, Danielle Chambers, Wycliffe Gordon, Autumn Hurlbert, William Michals, and Andrew Samonsky. The event will take place at Clark Theatre at Lincoln Center on November 16th at 7:00pm and will be presented as a part of the Under the Starts at Lincoln Center series.

Bender and John Cariani are a 'cast of thousands,' taking on the roles of Lady Enid, Lord Edgar, Nicodemus Underwood - and a mummy - among many others. Directed by Henry Wishcamper. The Mystery of Irma Vep will run in the Globe's Arena Stage at the San Diego Museum of Art's James S. Copley Auditorium through Sept. 6, 2009.
