Lyric Opera of Chicago presents the fiery melodrama Tosca by Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) conducted by Dmitri Jurowski in a new production by John Caird. The new cast opens on Friday, February 27 with 5 performances remaining through Saturday, March 14. Performance dates are Feb. 27, Mar. 3, 14 at 7:30pm; and Mar. 8, 11 at 2pm.

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre in downtown Gettysburg, located inside the old Elks Lodge at 49 York Street, will present two very different musicals this spring featuring children and adults of all ages.

For four weeks only (March 10 - April 5), the epic Broadway blockbuster will transform the stage at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre into 19th century France. Internationally acclaimed director, Trevor Nunn will direct drama school students in a production of TWO GENTLEMAN OF VERONA. The play will open at The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre on April 30 and run until May 12.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schönberg's Les Miserables will welcome five new 'MIZ Kids' for its second year on Broadway beginning Tuesday, March 3 at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street).

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the full casting and creative team for the highly anticipated world premiere of Sense and Sensibility, a musical adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel, with book, music and lyrics by Tony Award®-nominated composer Paul Gordon.

On March 13, 2015, The New York Pops continues its 31st season with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in her solo debut at Carnegie Hall. Among other musical standards, Foster will reprise her unforgettable performances of "Anything Goes" and "I Get a Kick Out of You" from her Tony Award-winning turn as Reno Sweeney in the Cole Porter classic. She will also offer her own take on "Down with Love," made famous by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. Foster will be joined by special guest artists Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis, who will sing the showstopper "Let It Sing" from Violet, and the touching "Neverland" from Peter Pan.

Brian Jagde, one of the outstanding tenors of his generation with a burgeoning international career, will make his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut performing the role of the painter/revolutionary Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini's fiery melodrama ?Tosca Jan. 24-Feb. 5, Lyric's general director Anthony Freud announced today. Jagde replaces the previously announced Ukrainian tenor Misha Didyk, who withdrew from the production for personal reasons.

Tony Award winner Nikki M. James will give her final performance as Eponine in the Cameron Mackintosh production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables today, January 11. Erin Clemons will take over the role from January 13 through February 8, with Brittney Johnson performing the role February 10 through March 1. Additional principal casting for the production's second year on Broadway will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for Murder for Two, with book and music by Joe Kinosian and book and lyrics by Kellen Blair. Globe veteran Scott Schwartz (A Room with a View at the Globe, The Hunchback of Notre Dame at La Jolla Playhouse) returns to direct Blair and Kinosian's Off Broadway hit, a vaudevillian mystery musical with an energetic two-man cast. Murder for Two will run January 24 - March 1 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Megan McGinnis, standby for Side Show's twins on Broadway, appeared as 'Violet' in today's (December 3) matinee performance, in place of Erin Davie. Davie is, however, performing in this evening's show.

As classic in the realm of operetta as West Side Story is in the realm of American musical theatre, the British Royal National Theatre version of Candide, as adapted for the stage by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, is set to the sublime music of that quintessential modern American master, Leonard Bernstein, and the brilliant lyrics of Richard Wilbur and Stephen Sondheim.
