The Cunningham Dance Foundation announced today that the U.S. Department of State will sponsor Merce Cunningham Dance Company's first-ever engagement in Russia, during its final, two-year Legacy Tour.

Following five seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE-New York's only festival of contemporary solo piano music-is back with 10 'front-rank soloists' (The New Yorker) who will perform 27 classical and jazz-inspired works by an aesthetically diverse group of modern masters and emerging composers over the course of three evenings.

With its soaring 55,000-square-foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall and array of dramatic period rooms, the Armory's unique spaces enable artists to create-and the public to experience- unconventional work in all genres that could not be realized elsewhere in New York City.

In a virtual parade of some of contemporary dance's leading choreographic voices, The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago presents a tour de force season, beginning in fall 2011 with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, David Gordon's Pick Up Performance Co(s), Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan and, in a co-presentation with the Harris Theater of Music and Dance, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company's Legacy Tour.

Now in the final year of its Legacy Tour, the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (MCDC) returns to New York City for a weeklong engagement at The Joyce Theater from March 22 through 27, 2011, with a newly added Saturday matinee on March 26.

The Music Committee of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (MCDC) will present two concerts on Sunday March 20, 2011 to celebrate the release of "Music for Merce," a 10-CD boxed set from New World Records.
