This summer, Irish Rep is bringing the beauty and wonder of one of Broadway's most captivating musicals, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever back to New York City. With music by Burton Lane, theatergoers can soak up the magical score comprised of classics such as 'What Did I Have That I Don't Have?' as well as the title song 'On a Clear Day You Can See Forever' - among countless others. The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut announces its annual Summertime Saturday Puppet Show Series with performances at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on five consecutive Saturdays from July 14 through Aug. 11, 2018. This summer the Ballard Institute is excited to host acclaimed puppeteers from around New England and beyond, as well as recent Puppet Arts graduates. All performances will take place at the Ballard Institute Theater located at 1 Royce Circle in Downtown Storrs. Ballard Institute Director John Bell says, 'We're very excited to bring a wide array of talented accomplished puppeteers from around the country to the Ballard Institute, including a number of UConn Puppet Arts Program alumni, so they can share their work with our audiences.'

After selling out three nights last Halloween weekend, improvisational rock icons Widespread Panic will take over Park Theater at Park MGM once again for three more shows. The Halloween Weekend performances are scheduled Friday, Oct. 26, Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28. Tickets for all three performances go on sale Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. PT.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Starz and Sony Pictures Television announced on Wednesday that the series has been renewed for a fifth and sixth season at the network, ensuring the story of Claire and Jamie will continue for at least a few more years. The fourth season is currently filming and will premiere on Starz in November 2018, Starz also announced.

Great Small Works revisits the work of radical 20th-century New York City puppeteers Zuni Maud and Yosl Cutler. In a bilingual Yiddish-English play that uses Maud and Cutler's satirical puppet scripts and original graphics, together with Great Small Works' own puppets and projections, as well as The Dybbuk and Mae West, Muntergang is a meditation on historical models for changing power relationships.

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut is currently featuring ground-breaking modernist performance sculptures first designed by famed Connecticut sculptor Alexander Calder for the 1936 production of Socrate at Hartford's Wadsworth Atheneum, as part of its current exhibition, American Puppet Modernism: The Early 20th Century, on display Tuesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., now through July 1 at the Ballard Institute, located at 1 Royce Circle in Downtown Storrs. The sculptures were reconstructed with Calder's approval for a 1976 performance of Socrate produced by conductor Joel Thome, the director of the Orchestra of Our Time, as part of the National Tribute to Alexander Calder in New York City.

Directed by Ellen Simpson, this musical is based on Mark Twain's classic 1884 novel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the musical features music in the bluegrass and country styles in keeping with the setting of the novel.
