Nominations for the 2016 CRITICS' CHOICE AWARD for movies were revealed today. Topping the list with 12 nominations is Damien Chazelle's musical LA LA LAND, receiving nods for best picture, best director, best actor (Ryan Gosling) and best actress (Emma Stone).

With the exception of the mention of a few of George Carlin's infamous seven words, THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF COMEDY (ABRIDGED) at Merrimack Repertory Theatre is good family entertainment and the kids might even learn to appreciate the pioneers of the art form.
