Funky Little Theater Company, the newest, grooviest, funkiest theatre in town, has seen the regional premiere of six productions and two world premieres, as well as many other productions and special events in its short time here in Colorado Springs. FLTC is now very proud to present its newest theatrical endeavor, [spectrum: lgbt new play festival], a world premiere of eight plays from playwrights around the country. This World Premiere event will have performances March 4th - March 19th, 2016 (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm). All tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at the door (www.funkylittletheater.org). Thursday tickets are only $11 (great for students or date night). Now in its 14th year, the Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUTF) is becoming New York's premiere winter/spring theatre event showcasing independent theatre artists. The month-long festival, produced by Creative Ammo, Inc., provides writers and performance artists from America's burgeoning multicultural landscape the opportunity to share their stories that interpret our history and our times.

Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) announced its 14th Annual Season today which will feature 19 productions from March 8 to April 2, 2016. The season includes 17 new theatrical works to be presented at Here's Dorothy B. Williams Theatre and two solo works, Joe Gulla's The Bronx Queen and Ella Turenne's Love, Locs & Liberation, at Joe's Pub at The Public. The festival kicks off with a special performance by Corey Glover, acclaimed actor and two-time Grammy award-winning lead singer of the band Living Colour, on March 4 at Joe's Pub.

?Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) has announced the finalists for its 14th Annual Season to run at HERE and Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in spring 2016. Reg E. Gaines, two-time Tony nominee, returns as DUTF's Artistic Director.

 The ten-week run of the United Solo Festival, featuring 150 productions from six continents, concluded on Sunday, November 22 at Theatre Row in New York, where the festival is a resident company. Beginning with its opening night on September 17, United Solo presented between two and five shows every day, in a vast array of categories. Over 80 of the shows were sold out, and nearly 30 were presented in the ENCORE program, which features companies returning to the festival after successful performances in previous years.

?'Joe Gulla's 'Christmas Caroline' will have its World Premiere on Hollywood's Theatre Row at Studio C Artists. Directed by J. Bailey Burcham, the cast of 'Christmas Caroline' includes Shawn Davis, Scott Gerard, Megan Gill, Michelle Luchese, Sarah McElligott and Myshell Tabu.

Joe Gulla's "DADDY" will close the The Sixth Annual United Solo Festival held at New York City's Theatre Row. "DADDY" is the final chapter of Gulla's popular "Bronx Queen Trilogy".  "FAGGY at 50", the second chapter of the trilogy, was awarded the United Solo Award for "Best One Man Show" at the 2014 United Solo Awards. 

"The One Legged Song and Dance Man is Back! After a sold out show back in February, Evan Ruggiero will return to 54 Below on August 14. Joining him for this night of music will be Broadway Veteran Jackie Burns (If/Then, Wicked, Hair), Olivia Polci (Foolerie, 54 Below Solo Show, Bergen PAC Soloist), and Kyle Wilder (Black Out w/ Savion Glover, New Jersey Tap Ensemble, JUBA Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance). Evan's band feature's long standing members Ray Carega, Justin Garcia, and Brendan Daily, and introducing Will Dougherty, Joe Gullace, Frank Scillieri, and Rich Cush. Not only will Evan sing his favorite rock and musical theatre songs, but he will be debuting some of his own songs from his new original musical he has been working on called "My Champagne Year."

The world's largest solo theatre festival concluded its season with an awards ceremony held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Theatre Row in New York City. It was the closing night for a ten-week season of solo theatre and the fifth anniversary of the festival, a resident company at Theatre Row.

This past September, Joe Gulla was invited to perform his latest, 'Faggy at 50" for the Fifth Annual United Solo Festival's opening day. It has gone on to become the festival's biggest seller.

Theatre Row on New York's famous 42nd Street is home to the world's largest solo theatre festival, United Solo. Its fifth season takes place tomorrow, September 18 - November 23, 2014 and features 130 productions from around the world in categories including drama, comedy, stand-up, mime, improv, musical, and many more.
