Ripley Departs NORMAL on Bway July 18; Leads Nat'l Tour This Fall

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Next to Normal, will play her final Broadway performance on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30p.m. Ms. Ripley will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's entire 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 with a six-week engagement at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, followed by confirmed engagements in San Diego, Seattle, Des Moines, Providence, Hartford, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, St. Paul, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, DC, and more cities to be announced in the near future.
CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY Joins Edinburgh Fringe in August; Urie, Wendt Star

The New York Times is reporting that CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY, which plays Monday nights at the Triad in New York has joined the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs from August 5- August 30. In addition, the show will venture to both Pittsburgh and and New Orleans this summer. The show will star Michael Urie and George Wendt. Additional casting is to be announced.

Helen Stenborg and Stephen McKinley Henderson have been named to receive the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award, a $1,000 check and crystal trophy for each, honors a veteran female and male character actor for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production.
Arianda and Heck Receive Equity's Clarence Derwent Award

Scott: Not Getting RAPTURE to Broadway 'Hit Me Hard'

During a recent interview, EVERYDAY RAPTURE star Sherie Renee Scott said the failure of the show to make it to Broadway directly following its acclaimed off-Broadway run 'hit me hard.' Renee said she was shocked when she learned Roundabout was considering her show as a replacement for LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART, and said she wanted to avoid getting invested until the deal was finalized.
