THE 39 STEPS Closes at The Bank Of America Theatre 5/30

Broadway In Chicago welcomes the two time Tony and Drama Desk Award winner, Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, to the Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.) for a limited two week engagement May 19 - 30, 2010.

NEXT TO NORMAL Tour, With Alice Ripley, To Play PPAC March 22-27, 2011

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning NEXT TO NORMAL, will play her final Broadway performance on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30P. Ms. Ripley will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, which arrives at the Providence Performing Arts Center from March 22 - 27, 2011.

Alice Ripley Stars In NEXT TO NORMAL National Tour, Plays Balboa Theatre 1/18-23

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award® for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning Next to Normal, will return to San Diego, where she spent several years performing in local productions, to reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. It will play in San Diego January 18-23, 2011 at the Balboa Theatre, as part of the current season of Broadway/San Diego ~ A Nederlander Presentation.

Ripley to Star in NEXT TO NORMAL at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning 'Next to Normal,' will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week, multi-city North American tour, launching this November at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles followed by confirmed engagements in San Diego, Seattle, Des Moines, Providence, Hartford, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, St. Paul, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and more cities to be announced in the near future. Ms. Ripley will play her final Broadway performance on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m.

CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY Joins Edinburgh Fringe in August; Urie, Wendt Star

The New York Times is reporting that CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY, which plays Monday nights at the Triad in New York has joined the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs from August 5- August 30. In addition, the show will venture to both Pittsburgh and and New Orleans this summer. The show will star Michael Urie and George Wendt. Additional casting is to be announced.

Stenborg and Henderson Receive Equity's Richard Seff Award

Helen Stenborg and Stephen McKinley Henderson have been named to receive the annual Richard Seff Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award, a $1,000 check and crystal trophy for each, honors a veteran female and male character actor for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production.

Arianda and Heck Receive Equity's Clarence Derwent Award

The Clarence Derwent Award for most promising female and male performers on the New York metropolitan scene, has gone to Nina Arianda and Bill Heck. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Actors' Equity Foundation, which administers the Award.

New York Drama Critics' Circle to Announce Award Winners 4/29

Adam Feldman, president of the New York Drama Critics' Circle (NYDCC), has announced that the Circle will meet at the offices of Time Out New York magazine on Thursday, April 30, to select the winners of the 75th annual New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards, which will be announced at approximately 7pm, immediately following the meeting.
