The producers of the Broadway hit Waitress have announced that Joe Cassidy will play Cal, the curmudgeonly diner chef, from this January through February 12.

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, presents a very special fundraising event, The 2nd Annual MST Broadway Cabaret. Current stars from Broadway will perform songs from Broadway past and present on the Mile Square Theatre stage. Proceeds from the event will benefit MST's 2017 season.

Set to soar through December 20 at the award-winning not-for-profit theatre, Maltz Jupiter, the electrifying blockbuster follows the story of Billy, the youngest child of a blue-collar family who discovers his unlikely and extraordinary gift for ballet. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) welcomes Tom Kitt and Friends, a one-night-only concert event featuring Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and lyricist Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then, High Fidelity)

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the lineup for Tom Kitt and Friends, a one-night-only concert event featuring Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and lyricist Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then, High Fidelity). Broadway's Next To Normal, which won the Pulitzer in 2009, originated in 2005 at NYMF as Feeling Electric - and for one night only Kitt will reunite with cast members from both productions, presenting an array of songs from each. Performers include Next to Normal stars Tony-Award Winner Alice Ripley, Tony-Award Nominee Jennifer Damiano, and Louis Hobson, Feeling Electric stars Amy Spanger and Joe Cassidy, as well as Ben Schrader, Jonathan Dokuchitz, and Adrienne Warren. Tom Kitt and Friends will take place at PTC Performance Space (555 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036) on Monday, July 13 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available now at www.nymf.org/tickets.

The North Carolina Symphony, led by conductor Stuart Chafetz, will perform some of the greatest hits from the 1980s as part of its 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. Joining Chafetz will be vocalists Joe Cassidy and Nicole Parker.

Yesterday, March 22nd, the cast and creative team of Broadway's IF/THEN, including Idina Menzel, James Snyder, LaChanze, Anthony Rapp, Jenn Colella, Tom Kitt, Brian Yorkey took their final bows at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
