Talk about golden hits from the past, The Golddiggers played 5 performances only on the El Portal Mainstage in NoHo, August 6-9, and they have become a great big hit all over again.

Cabaret Cares the monthly benefit series that raises funds for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and Help Is On The Way Today returns in August. Created in 2005 by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia Cabaret Cares was created to help raise funds for Broadway Cares. The series was then a weekly summer series at Helen's cabaret room that brought together the best of the Broadway and Cabaret community.

'Monty Python's Spamalot,' the popular musical lovingly ripped-off from the internationally famous comedy team's most popular motion picture, 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail,' opened Center Theatre Group's 2009-2010 at the Ahmanson Theatre of the Los Angeles Music Center on July 7th. 'Monty Python's Spamalot' plays through September 6, 2009.

The Children's Arts Advocate Award 2009 - the state PTA's first such award - was presented to the First Lady of Musical Theatre during an appearance at the organization's 110th annual convention. On November 15th, Carol Channing will make her first appearance in public after fracturing her femur and hip.

The Museum of Performance & Design announced today the cancellation of 'Carol Channing & Friends in Concert' on Thursday, September 25 at the Herbst Theatre due to fractures to Miss Channing's femur and hip sustained from a slip at her Modesto home.
