Tonight, May 8th, If/Then star Idina Menzel will appear on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman to perform a number from the the new Broadway musical. Actor James Franco will also appear as a guest on the broadcast.

The New York City Center Encores! production of Irma La Douce, starring Jennifer Bowles, Rob McClure, and Malcolm Gets will runs for seven performances, beginning tonight, May 7, and continuing through May 11, 2014. Irma La Douce is directed by John Doyle and choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman. In honor of playwright Moss Hart, Lincoln Center Theater offers a "once in a lifetime" playwriting contest in conjunction with its Tony nominated play, Act One. ACT ONE, a play written and directed by James Lapine, from the autobiography by Moss Hart, is currently playing at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street).

After breaking box office records and selling out in record time in 2009 and 2012 WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to Salt Lake City, Capitol Theatre, July 9-August 24. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Monday, May 12.

It's difficult to argue with anyone who says that Providence Performing Arts Center has had a spectacular season. You'd be hard pressed to find such an impressive collection of musical productions brought together during a single season anywhere. Of course, this is just what organizations like PPAC do, they put together impressive seasons filled with stunning theatrical spectacles, from newer shows, like Once and Ghost: The Musical, to all-time Broadway favorites like Phantom of the Opera and Man of La Mancha. The season ends on another high note with one last smash hit Broadway musical, both critically acclaimed and a fan-favorite, The Book of Mormon.

Ghostlight Records will release the original cast recording of The Public Theater's production of LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOSTthis summer. The album will be available in digital format on June 3 with physical CDs available online and in stores on July 8. The production was recently nominated for three 2014 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Choreography. Directed by Alex Timbers, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST features songs by Michael Friedman with book adaptation by Timbers. Two tracks from the upcoming album - 'Young Men' and 'Hey Boys' - are available to stream at www.sh-k-boom.com.

Cabaret opened on Thursday, April 24 to rave reviews.
