Today, November 7th, Sting and the cast of Broadway's THE LAST SHIP will perform live today. Also during the broadcast, the morning show goes behind-the-scenes of the musical with Sting.

Encores! The Band Wagon cast includes Brian Stokes Mitchell, Tracey Ullman, Michael McKean, Tony Sheldon, Laura Osnes, Michael Berresse and Don Stephenson. Playwrights Horizons' world premiere production of GRAND CONCOURSE, a new play by playwright and two-time Obie Award-winning actress Heidi Schreck (author of There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature, Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie'), has an opening night set for Wednesday, November 12 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, November 30, at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Kip Fagan (The Revisionist, Asuncion), the play is the second production of the acclaimed theater company's 2014/2015 Season. It follows the critically-acclaimed Bootycandy, a new play written and directed by Robert O'Hara, which concludes its extended run this Sunday evening on the Mainstage.

Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will star in The Band Wagon, an Encores! Special Event based on the classic MGM movie of the same title, from tonight, November 6, through November 16, 2014 at City Center. The Band Wagon will open on Sunday, November 8.

According to the New York Post, director and choreographer Kathleen Marshall could be "shepherding" Encores! THE BAND WAGON to Broadway before the Tony Awards cutoff.

On Thursday, Nov. 27, Broadway's best shows will take to the streets of New York for special performances on the telecast of the annual spectacle (9 a.m.-noon in all time zones.)

The Public Theater announced a two-week extension today for the critically acclaimed FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere play written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) began previews on Tuesday, October 14 in the Anspacher Theater and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, November 16. It will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 30.

Signature Theatre presents the World Premiere of OUR LADY OF KIBEHO by Katori Hall, directed by Michael Greif. The production runs through December 7, 2014 with a November 16 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Today, Macy's announced that Sting, composer of Broadway's THE LAST SHIP, Idina Menzel star if Broadway's IF/THEN, and Nick Jonas will be among the stars appearaing at the 88th annual MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE.

THE LAST SHIP on Broadway will offer a special discount, effective immediately, for union members who present a union card when purchasing tickets at the box office at the Neil Simon Theatre, 250 W. 52 Street. The producers of the Tony-winning revival of PIPPIN have announced that Kyle Dean Massey will assume the role of Pippin beginning November 4 at the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles. PIPPIN makes its Washington, D.C., premiere at the National Theatre December 16 through January 4, with Massey in the role.
