Blackfriars Theatre, a not-for-profit, professional theatre on Rochester's East Main Street "Theatre Row," is proud to announce the opening of "The Year Of Magical Thinking," a drama by Joan Didion. In this dramatic adaptation of her award-winning and best-selling memoir, Joan Didion transforms the story of the sudden and unexpected loss of her husband and their only daughter into a stunning and powerful theatrical experience.

Adapted from Joan Didion's best-selling memoir and starring Florida Rep regular, Sara Morsey, The Year of Magical Thinking, plays in Florida Rep's intimate 90-seat Studio Theatre Jan. 11 to Feb. 4.

To provide more flexibility for patrons to attend theater, Westport Country Playhouse announced that "4-Play Seasonal Subscriptions," "Pick 3 Plans" and "FlexTix" for the 2012 season will go on sale Tuesday, January 3, at noon, joining the more traditional "5-Play Subscriptions" already available.

Michael Klingher of Weston was elected to chair Westport Country Playhouse's board of trustees' leadership at a recent annual meeting. Klingher succeeds Sandra DeFeo of Westport, who served as chair since 2008.

Somit ist die Spielzeit 2012/13 die erste, die Bettina Hering als Künstlerische Leiterin des Landestheaters Niederösterreich gestalten wird.
